Natural Intelligence
08/08/26 - 08/29/26
“Natural Intelligence” is a photography exhibit aiming to feed into the current conversation about what remains human in art creation during the emergence of Artificial Intelligence as a new visual technology. By exhibiting diverse photographic techniques with different forms of development and editing, we can see what must remain artistically human in an image based process regardless of the technology used to create it. The invention of photography created a similar outcry from painters and drawers as Artificial Intelligence is doing now to contemporary artists, because photography only required feeding film into a camera, clicking a button and developing the photograph instead of the expense and time it took to make a realistic painting, drawing or print. Is Artificial Intelligence taking over something fundamental about us or will it always require a Natural Intelligence to use it?
